Woodland Caribou Wilderness Park - Red Lake, Ontario area
Viking Island is a small resort dedicated to fishing located in Woodland Caribou Wilderness Park. Its a short flight by float plane to reach Douglas Lake from Red Lake. This is beautiful remote country, renowned for walleye, northern and lake trout fishing as well as wildlife viewing. The lakes are deep, but not huge, and closely connected with plenty of bays. The perfect setting for a relaxed fishing trip. The atmosphere on the island comes from another time. They have a maximum of 24 guests in camp per week and many of which have been coming back for many years. |
